Amazon Affiliate Program

When a customer you suggest makes a purchase on Amazon, you can earn a commission through the Amazon Affiliate program. Affiliate marketing is the term for this approach.

Although Amazon Associates is a little more involved than your ordinary affiliate network, becoming an Amazon associate is still rather simple.

We'll go over everything you need to know to get from zero to successfully joining Amazon Associates and earning your first commission in this post.

There are several ways to create cash through the Amazon affiliate program, whether it is for a small business or for individual Amazon associates.

When you join Amazon as an associate, you have access to a variety of features, including analytics and marketing to ensure you can maximize your earning potential.

How to Become an Amazon Affiliate?

You must have an active website before applying to Amazon's affiliate program. If you've recently started a blog, you should write a few unique entries before submitting your application.

Having a lively website improves your chances of being accepted. For your YouTube channel or mobile app, you may also create an Amazon affiliate account.

Step 1: Join the Amazon Associates Program

Go to the Amazon Associates home page to get started. From the top menu, choose your language and location, then click the yellow Sign Up button in the header.

You'll be prompted to sign in with an existing Amazon account on the following page. If you don't already have an Amazon account, click the Create an Amazon account button to be brought to a signup page.

Return to the Amazon Associates webpage and sign in with your data once you've completed the registration process. Then you may begin filling out the affiliate program application.

Step2. Enter Your Personal Details and Website Address

Let's have a look at the application step by step. You'll be prompted to submit and confirm your personal information on the first page, Account Information, which includes your name, address, and phone number.

Select the principal contact for the account you're establishing at the bottom of the page. By ticking the option The payee listed above, you can designate yourself as the payee. Alternatively, you may pick the second option to add another contact.

Once you've finished, click Next to proceed to the Website and Mobile App List. You can enter the URLs of the websites where you wish to advertise Amazon items here. Websites, blogs, YouTube channels, and smartphone applications are all examples of this.

Step 3. Create Your Profile

You'll be asked to give some information about your website(s) or mobile app on the Profile page (s). Set up your Associates ID first. You can use your own name or the name of your website for this. It's worth noting that the ID will display in your affiliate links as well.

After that, add a few phrases describing your website's purpose. Choose the themes that best characterize your website from the available categories, as well as the Amazon items you want to advertise and the sort of website(s) or app(s) you own.

You'll need to inform Amazon how you'll drive traffic to your site and make money from your content in the Traffic & Monetization portion of the page. Select the choices that relate to your site from the lists provided.

You should read the Associates Program Operating Agreement specified in the Contract Terms section before clicking Finish.

Step 4. Select Your Payment Preferences

You'll receive a screen verifying that your application has been submitted when you've completed your profile and clicked Finish. You'll also discover details on how to use your Associate ID and how to navigate the affiliate program.

Once you've made your first sale through your website, Amazon will assess your application. Your application will be withdrawn if you do not make at least three sales in the next 180 days.

You will be asked to input your payment information and tax information on this page, but you can opt to do so later.

Step 5: Start Generating Your Affiliate Links

That's all there is to it — you're an Amazon affiliate! Amazon requires you to identify yourself as an Associate and to provide a disclaimer on your website. To prevent being kicked out of the affiliate program, you should do this straight away.

Go to the Amazon Associates home page when you're ready to make your first Amazon affiliate link. This is where you'll look for items and keep track of your monthly results.

Let's get started by creating the first affiliate link. To get started, go to Quick Links: Type the product you're searching for into the search field and hit Enter.

When you click Go, a list of results will appear. Choose your product and click the Get link icon next to it.

The product will then appear on a page with the following options for displaying it on your website: Text and Image, Text Only, Image Only, and Add to Widget.

Whatever option you select, you'll receive an HTML code to paste into the website or post where you want the product to appear. You can get a link instead of the code if you choose Text Only.
