Apple Released iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5
Apple has released iOS 15.5 (for iPhones) and iPadOS 15.5 (for iPads) for its mobile devices today. This isn't a major upgrade, as the.1 incrementation suggests, but it does include a couple of new features.
To begin, Apple Cash customers can now send and request
money from their Apple Cash card using the Wallet app. Second, the Apple Podcasts
app now has a new feature that allows you to limit the number of episodes kept
on your device and erase older ones automatically.
Additionally, a bug that caused home automations to fail
when people arrived or left has been corrected. There are over 25 security
fixes in this new edition as well, none of which were actively exploited to
Apple's knowledge, but if you wish to follow the 'better safe than sorry'
philosophy, you should update as soon as possible.
Your iPhone or iPad should have already notified you of the
update, but if it hasn't, you can always go into Settings and manually download
it. Because Apple's rollouts aren't planned, the new software is already
available to anyone who wants it.
The iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 updates are free to download,
and the software is accessible over-the-air in the Settings app on all
compatible devices. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to get the
new software.
iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 are smaller in scale than previous
iOS 15 releases. The Apple Cash card in the Wallet app has been updated, and a
new feature allows Podcasts users to limit the number of episodes stored on
their devices. The complete release notes for the upgrade can be seen below.
The following enhancements and bug fixes are included in iOS
15.5:
- Apple Cash clients can now send and request money from
their Apple Cash card using Wallet.
- Apple Podcasts has a new feature to limit the number of
episodes stored on your iPhone and automatically delete older ones.
- Home automations triggered by people arriving or departing
may now fail.
Some functions aren't available in all countries or on all Apple devices. Please visit this website for details on the security content of Apple software updates:

Because Apple is already working on iOS 16, and iOS 16 is
scheduled to be presented on June 6 at the opening of the Worldwide Developers
Conference, iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 could be some of the final updates to the
iOS 15 operating system.
